Discrepancy from WHAT? From what they WANT the temperature trend to be?

And how can they tell an ASSUMED shift due to something like a station move from a real weather shift? They can't. They ASSUME!

Unfortunately, it's not even true that adjustments are based on nearby stations. Paul Homewood has documented that there've been similar simultaneous adjustments at ALL Iceland stations, ALL Greenland stations, ALL rural Paraguay and ALL rural NZ stations. I'm sure the problem isn't limited to these locations ... those were chosen because they're small isolated countries.
