Yes, but it's looking brief according to the weather models. Here's a forecast map of the ECMWF model for Friday morning (Feb 20). The blue lines are pressure lines, which show the high pressure parked off coast of Virginia. On the back edge of the high is strong SW winds (tracing along the blue lines from TX toward New England). This air will run over new snow cover. It should be a 40F icy, chilly wind if you're in PA/NJ/NY. I guess that's a thaw from being in the single digits. LOL! Florida looks like the place to be next weekend :)

All models are rebuilding the current pattern into the following week. Bleh. I'm hoping for a change in the pattern. Again, this high pressure could stick around longer than the models expect, so next Friday is the threshold of credibility.
