Boko Haram Attacks Chad for First TimeReuters

For the first time, Boko Haram militants have carried out an attack on Chadian territory. Officials told BBC News that around 30 militants crossed Lake Chad on a motorboat overnight and attacked the village of Ngouboua and killed several people. “They came on board three canoes and succeeded in killing about 10 people before being pushed back by the army,” a resident told Reuters.
