It is such an odd alternate universe in which you reside with your inverted reality...
I feel exactly the same way. I think it is amazing that two intelligent people see exact polar opposites. I think the parallel universe theory must be correct and we live in different universes and SI is the worm hole that connects the two.

So tell me, in your universe is the Middle East in better shape now or six years ago?

In your universe, is the fact that we have 47 million people on food stamps compared to 27 million six years ago a good thing or a bad thing?
