I have a Chase Freedom card.

I have one also and keep it tucked away with my records. It is registered at Amazon and when they activate their 5% rebate on Amazon purchases the last quarter of this year I will charge my stuff there on that card, then pick up the 5% rebate in that quarter. My local Costco has no gas station, the downtown one does. I find my local discount gas station a mile from me is 10 cents a gallon cheaper than the ones with card rebates, so I charge there on my Amazon card and get their one percent fpr gas.

None of this adds up to a lot of money but it makes me feel good to get as low a price as I can.

The West Coast Ports are about to strike and if it goes on for a couple of months we will really feel it here. The Jones act lets the ships and the port and maritime unions clean our clocks. I mentioned before that a container delivered from Long Beach costs 8750 while the same container delivered to Hong Kong goes for under 800. Matson shipping and our local 18,000 Longshoreman union members do very well from this, thank you very much!
