I got a call from a Jewish friend who reflexively defends Israel, to the point that he will shoot down criticism of Israel by accusing the critic of anti-Semitism; and the first thing he said was, "If Netanyahu speaks in front of Congress and the Israeli electorate still re-elects him, we have to make Israel pay. Take away all that foreign aid money. They need to know we call the shots. They can't disrespect our President and violate the way we handle foreign policy."

I think the American Jews who feel as you do need to be as organized and as much of a political force here as the one's that reflexively defend Israel, like AIPAC. I think American Jews of your sentiment outnumber them, but it doesn't seem that way, because they mostly remain silent, due to the peer pressure they feel from the loudmouths such as at AIPAC.

It's analogous to the peaceful Muslims that remain silent concerning the actions of their fundamentalist coreligionists, without the threat of death or beheading.

There's an opportunity there, Z.
