The global average temperature of 62.45 degrees Fahrenheit for 1997 was the warmest year on record, surpassing the previous record set in 1995 by 0.15 degrees Fahrenheit

The average temperature for the year [2014] was 0.69°C (1.24°F) above the 20th century average of 13.9°C (57.0°F) [ie 58.24F] , beating the previous record warmth of 2010 and 2005 by 0.04°C (0.07°F).

So is NOAA saying 58.24 F is higher than 62.45 F? Or have they adjusted downward 1997's temperature by over 4 degrees F since 1997? Are they so corrupted they just make anything and no one will check what they said a couple decades ago? If someone notices, just sic clowns like you on them to call them names. If 58.24 isn't higher than 62.45, publish the proof in a peer-reviewed journal. Perhaps the rules of mathematics have been adjusted?
