Kushner-Locke International to introduce new "Hollywood After Dark" movie label at MIPCOM

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 24, 1996--To take advantage of growing programming needs in the expanding international marketplace, Kushner-Locke International has created "Hollywood After Dark," a new label to be introduced at the upcoming MIPCOM television market in Cannes, France, in October, it was announced Tuesday by Gregory Cascante, president and chief executive officer of Kushner-Locke International.
The company plans for "Hollywood After Dark" to license to domestic and international television and cable buyers a package of 26 feature film titles comprised of features aimed primarily at men and women, 18-35.
The PG-13 and R-rated movies are mostly for late night airing. Kushner-Locke, through its KLC/New City Televentures, has already made domestic sales of similar products of approximately $7 million in the United States to such outlets as HBO, Showtime, USA Network, E! Entertainment, Pay Per View Networks, Viewers Choice, Request TV, satellite networks and Direct TV, among others.
"We have already established ourselves as a provider of late night programming for the existing and emerging delivery systems in the U.S., with 63 features already sold," stated Co-Chairmen Peter Locke and Donald Kushner.
