>> Look what you can buy now and at what price. In 2007 when I built my house this system cost more than $40K. I don't need a fucking subsidy for this to make sense.

But you would still get one. And you got one when you spent your 40K. And you'll never get value for that 40K even with the subsidy.

>> When the world is desperately looking for more advanced and environmentally friendly energy sources you worry about the few bucks it's costing you?

You dodge the question. Why should I be forced to pay ONE NICKEL toward YOUR electricity? You're surely wealthier than I am. How does that make sense to someone who is worried about "regressivity" of taxes?

>> And we are back to the premise of ideology....conservatives LAG adoption..

You're confusing political ideology with reasonableness.

You see me as a "conservative" yet I'm liberal on many social issues. But I understand economics, a key difference between you and me. I see you not as a "progressive", but as more of a socialist. I don't believe in economic equality, you do. Of course, that's only when you're taking money from people who have less than you do to pay for your own electricity.

And that is the bottom line: You're a "progressive" only to the extent you can do it on other peoples money. When it comes to your own money, you're like every other liberal: you want all you can get for yourselves. It is the height of hypocrisy, but totally lost on you guys.

I'm far more progressive than you'll ever be. Because I understand that true progress means every man for himself, working hard and contributing. You believe in half the country taking and half giving way more than their fair shares. Interestingly, you want to be a taker.
