We had a 23 footer with a queen that went port to starboard. The sales pitch on the trailer inferred a walk around the bed. Actually, one could with the mattress removed.

Yours truly makes frequent trips to the bathroom at night, so the missus took the side of the bed away. In addition to back issues and an overhanging cabinet on her side of the bed, a decision to move up in size was made (bilaterally, I might add).

The result?

Two happy campers!
