Depends on what one considers "his people". He only speaks for Israel, and not all that effectively.

Israelis are 80X more likely to die from acts of terror than European Jews. You'd have to be crazy to move there for safety. That's why 1 million Israelis have left, and why Netanyahu has to beg for new immigrants.
