neeka....what murrey said about 2 2000 watters would be ideal....you can even run them to power your house/cabin in the case of a an emergency...

i would also highly recommend that you consider a tri-fuel generator....this company is excellent, you can purchase kits but they also sell new models already converted (you can purchase honda or yamaha....the honda has slightly better reviews).....i believe you can get a discount by mentioning steven harris (who also has an excellent website on prepping and all things power, including inverters, solar, generators)

big advantage having tri-fuel ,well worth the additional cost (which isn't bad)
