You may be right and this car dream team is perhaps working on a feasibility study and providing their final recommendation to Apple senior leaders. I know GM margins are low but I am certain Apple can get much higher margin for their cars.

All I can say is that if Apple gets in the car business, they would do by far a better job than Detroit can ever imagine and I trust that Cook and his team will make the right decision. I will be a buyer if they ever make a car for average Joe.
