Since 2003 ??? The corruption of the Republican Party began in 1980 with Ronald Reagan. The year mathematics no longer mattered to Republicans.

Reagan used the cash-flow from the Baby Boomer's Social Security and Medicare taxes to provide a 2/3 cut in income tax rates for the top 1%, on the theory that it would "trickle-down" to the real economy. That's 1980.

Of course Ronald Reagan's tax policies sharply reduced economic growth just as most economists said it would, redirecting the little new available income exclusively to people who spend a very small percentage of their income. It's not rocket science to understand how bad Regan's scheme was.

Reagan gave away the immense Social Security tax surplus which could have created a huge permanent retirement investment fund. So instead we have seen Social Security benefits reduced twice so benefits no longer keep up with inflation. And we have Fox News complaining about the fact that almost 60% of the Federal Budget is wasted on the two "Entitlement Programs" which are also known as Medicare and Social Security.

Most Tea Party members and many Republicans constantly wish for a strong-leader like Vladimir Putin who has the courage to stand up to the elderly and cut their retirement benefits back to $68 per month, just as Putin has done in Russia. Stupid and weak Barack Obama has shamelessly refused to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits by 50% or more, let alone make a man-sized cut-back like Putin pushed through. They want a real leader who will take control and kick the spoiled retired Baby Boomers in the teeth.

You can certainly understand why Republicans want to kick lazy elderly Americans off the Medicare and Social Security Entitlement Programs. After you steal their Social Security and Medicare taxes, you have to also end their benefits, or actually increase income taxes to pay back the money you stole. And what crooks want to repay their theft?

Being an ardent Republican I'm sure you'd much rather see lazy elderly Americans sent to death camps, or simply starved into suicide as is happening in Russia currently, than to see a return to pre-Reagan income tax rates on the top 1%. Ensuring the fact that the top 1% pay much lower income tax rates than you do is probably your primary mission in life.
