These are the units I bought. Still available!

generatorsite.com

I bought them years ago for my construction company and later found them just as invaluable for winter dry camping in the Florida Keys and elsewhere.

Bought one in NC and the 2nd later in Coeur d'Alene.

I recall paying about $800-900 each back then, but I could power up all my small-medium tools on up to 2 locations on the same or different construction sites and still put them together for even more power. They were great for working but probably pricey for most camporees. I had times when they were used day to day for weeks.

Another plus was they were individually light enough to easily pick up one-handed and walk around.

I went and looked for both in the shed today and suddenly remembered I sold one a few years ago with the last camper.

I have a great memory but it doesn't last long!

We have a new 7.5kw with less than one hour here at the house now, and I don't feel compelled to run out and get another Honda 2000 right now. But I might! I loved those little gensets. Never had a maintenance issue...But I am a maintenance freak and would not have expected one.

We just went to another RV show....so who knows?

My Karen will be in Indian Wells, CA later next week (by air) and we will be in Portland. OR together in June, but we are flying together this time. The thrill of making a 12th drive - coast to coast just isn't there.
So I doubt a new camper is in the works this year.
