Jack, I wonder if the "die on the Cross" part was the biggest torture for Jesus...I think it was the part of "all of a sudden God's not there."
The Holy Spirit isn't in Him anymore. And then it gets worse
He goes to Hades. He goes to Hades not as the Son of God but
with all the "sins" of the world past,present and future in His body.
In fact scripture said that He became sin.
I know this is what Jesus agonized over in the garden
what He sweat blood over. The dying part was easy.
