That isn't the case. O'Reilly is normally as tough as anyone on getting facts, left, right or indifferent. He has key issues that he gets hot over -- like his idiotic position on the drug war -- and he refuses to listen to more knowledgeable, reasoned positions in those instances. But they represent a very small minority of the issues that come before him.

He has brutally attacked some guests -- like Barney Frank -- but somewhat understandably. As a TV host he should adhere to a higher standard, but Frank came on the program and lied through his teeth and O'Reilly just went off on him. Again, this doesn't happen with any regularity.

The Left's complaints against O'Reilly are irrational. He leans right on some issues, but had treated the president totally with kid gloves and giving him far too much benefit of the doubt. When you contrast O'Reilly with the people he's up against on cable news -- Chris Matthews, for example -- O'reilly appears to look like an absolute professional.

I do believe O'Reilly could be unseated by Megyn Kelly who is easily the best interviewer on television, cable or otherwise and her commentary, when it occurs, is hard to argue with on rational grounds.
