Well another interesting day today. Got a phone call around 7:30 pm from a very distraught son. He was on his way to have his beloved dog euthanized. As a parent, it's very hard to hear your grown son crying on the phone, but after he told me she wouldn't eat, couldn't stand and was "in a lot of pain", I told him it was his obligation to help her. That calmed him down quite a bit. Afterwards, he and his girlfriend brought Izzy up here, and we buried her near the walnut tree. She's at peace now, and laid to rest. Tomorrow we'll gather some big rocks to lay on top of her grave. Our dog will be joining her soon, and then the two of them can play together near the Rainbow Bridge. The sweetest dog with the biggest heart I've ever known. Izzy
