I recently bought the RACHIO WiFi irrigation controller so I can control my sprinklers (& greenhouse) irrigation watering and schedules, as well as activate the zones from my Android smartphone. I also use the WiFi thermostat in 2nd home so I can control (& monitor) heating by tenants. Google has a big interest in connecting these devises (they bought NEST). If/when connected devices get into the small manufacturing area, it's going to really improve productivity and efficiency. My greenhouse is already set up w/ a solar engine battery to power exhaust fan, sensors to monitor temp and turn on/off misting system & exhaust fan, now WiFi control of bench watering, propagation bed and drip system in planting bed. 3M Company (MMM) does the thermostat among many other things, pay a reasonable dividend and is a good grower. Hard to pay $169/share (PE @ 22.5) but I have been watching this one since $75.00/share in 2011 when I installed their WiFi thermostat. If you discover a good dividend payer that is an innovator in this sector, please post. EKS
