You sound like my other 1/2. I bought him a gold pan for Christmas, and he and a neighbor have been out quite a few times. They became so enthralled with it.............not that they've found any gold............they built a back yard sluice box. We live just up the street from a river, and also have a cabin right on the river, so access is guaranteed. All they've found so far are a few flakes.
