First and foremost do you have an interest in the subject. Those here with empassioned stories, in general have an interest in the subject. If you don't,you'll read a few articles and a book or two, but you will procrastinate until you have a "lifes" event.

Next how much money do you have. If its millions you will have innumerable options and right and wrong decision are going to be costly. You can afford to hire good people that actually will have an interest. Get going.

If your a million to 5 your in a sweet spot. Assuming you have an interest, find your best answer or pathway you can on your own then pay someone who specializes in the area. When they are completed take your approach to them and have them explain why theirs makes more sense then yours. You will definitely find professionals that want to work with you. Then offload the tasks to them or repeat the above process if your having fun.

.5 to a million. Again assuming you have an interest , aren't so many issues that can't be learned by talking around and getting people's view. To the extent you have a dilemma pay for advice. Otherwise take on the challange so that if u rise to one of the previous levels you will be well prepared.

Less then .5. I think your on your own. Even if you don't like the subject you can't afford to pay someone enough to give you anything but canned advice. That advice will be expensive.

Obviously the above are just generalizations. In the end it's your life and your money. No one is going to care for it more then you . EVERYONE here will have a different take, but then again everyone has different likes and circumstances, so any answers or advice would be peculiar to them without knowing you.

So do you want to mow the lawn or pay a gardener? If you want to have a great lawn can you handle it and enjoy the process? If you don't, and you want an award winning lawn, interview a number of different types of gardeners and see how your vision and theirs match

Best of luck on your journey
