During the first quarter '98, I will probably switch to one of the following three on-line firms:

ETrade
Ameritrade
SureTrade

I have opened an account with the Paulson Investment Company, based in Portland. I have a small account with them. I have this account so that I can place a trade during heavy volume (like those to miserable days in October when it took me 4 hours to reach them by telephone) in the event that I can't access my on line trader. In this situation, I have three days to move money to the account to cover a transaction. The downside is that I can't do a sell with Paulson if I don't have the security (which is with ESchwab) because it takes three weeks to move a stock between institutions and Paulson would have to have the money in three days.

a stock that I have in my ESchwab account
