I don't know what the solution to the crisis we have entered will be. People often make reference to the Industrial Revolution and how workers ultimately weren't hurt by it. But that was a different time and place.

The era of unskilled and low skilled labor is coming to an end. The stress on our government is going to be worse than ever. The demand for government to take care of the poor will far outstrip its ability to do so.

It is critical that people be retrained as quickly as possible. This means that anything driving up the cost of employment like obamacare or minimum wage are idiotic. We need to encourage employers to use people for as long as possible while people are able to get retrained. It also means radically restructuring education toward online resources with minimal cost, eliminating a large portion of the current university system. This needs to be promoted in lieu of school loans.

A lot of stuff is changing and we need to elect a president who understands this. I don't know if anyone running understands that.
