Yes and no. I'm a consultant, so I understand the
inexperience factor. Crimping heliax, that's a new one.
Seen any LMR cable? My expierence with steeplejacks
are they won't pass drug test and they are in charge at the site.
The line given is 'You want to climb this tower! Then shut the
f**k up!' I also constantly go to war over weather proofing
the connectors. For some reason they destest the process
of using anything other than one wrap of 88 tape, and that is
with alot of reluctance.

So I take it you are doing the civil installs and not the
actual inside plant work? Yeah the lastest H-P test
equipment is fairly complex, but then again they always
have been. Makes you wonder where the cellular installers
have gone. I guess that's why my knees are in bad shape.
Use to take those guys up on the challenge and
supervise from above and not at the wrench stop zone.
I learn fast when it was raining on a sunny day.
