I became interested in the action of the stock price after seeing statements with the basic message of "the price falls after a news announcement", so I have done a bit of investigating for the 3 days following the news. If the announcement was timed during the morning or near noon, I have used the prior day's close: Date Close Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Range 12/12 .39 .35-.43 .44-.48 .45-.50 .35-.50 12/10 .55 .48-.54 .38-.50 .35-.44 .35-.54 12/3 .58 .57-.62 .58-.62 .56-.63 .56-.63 11/24 .65 .66-.70 .56-.70 .57-.64 .56-.70 10/30 .68 .66-.82 .72-.77 .70-.75 .66-.82 10/9 .72 .70-.75 .69-.72 .65-.72 .65-.75 10/1 .86 .80-.87 .69-.82 .70-.75 .70-.87 Personally, I don't see any particular trend here except that news increases the volatility of the stock price. For the long term holders of TSIS, the important part is that it doesn't hold its gains over longer periods of time, which we all knew anyway. I was all prepared to do this and come in and spout the BB stock players' endless theme "we're being shorted into the ground". It could still be true, but I sure don't see it in these figures.
