En Pointe Technologies Inc. Announces its First Quarter FY1998 Revenue Outlook

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 1997--En Pointe Technologies Inc., a national provider of information technology products and value-added services, Thursday announced the company's outlook on revenue trends.
For the first quarter fiscal year 1998, the revenue expectations appear to be in the $130 million range. This represents 17 percent growth, quarter-on-quarter, with the prior year's quarter actual sales of $111 million.
Bob Din, chief executive officer of En Pointe Technologies, stated: "Our current outlook for the quarter is approximately $130 million in estimated sales compared to $111 million in actual sales in the same quarter a year ago.
"While we certainly would have been pleased with the trends of growth greater than 17 percent on a quarterly basis in order to meet outside analysts' expectations, we continue to grow at a rate that outpaces the industry."
Susan Bailey, president of En Pointe Technologies, noted: "En Pointe continues its pattern of increased sales. Had several of our significant customer installations, valued at approximately $10 million, not been postponed until next quarter, we would have been delivering growth in the 26 percent range. We anticipate that our 1998 fiscal year will bring continued strong sales performance."
