The "harm" is that this board should not be necessary to fulfill the purpose of SI's New Feature Discussion board whose moderator issues bans to censor discussion which does not agree with his viewpoint.
I agree. I think the problem was the incessant posting on a issue regarding the drop down menus. I too find them a nuisance at times, but management made it clear they were not going away. I have things like the picture for "veterans" that I don't like. I don't think it represents the whole group of us who started with the older version of the site. I also have to delete the graphic of the woman drinking what looks like a martini, when I copy a post to my Facebook. But on the other hand I think there has been some improvements in other areas. My issue with the drop downs are I can only use the "advanced search" because the first drop down hasn't worked for me.

I think having a discussion without the bashing of the entire site might get the attention of management. I certainly pay attention to what is written here and some of it is just complaining and bashing. But I can certainly understand "Veterans" having the most issues. I don't like that I don't have the secure site because I have no way to prove that I paid for what I thought was a lifetime subscription but I got the explanation and have to live with that.

This dialogue is healthy, since it offers something for old users, as well as new.
