Cutting Social Security and Medicare benefits by 50% to fund the largest Republican income tax cut in history is being sold as Reganomics Phase 2.

It'll be interesting to see if the original supporters of Reganomics (Phase 1) also support Reganomics Phase 2 with the same irrational lather.

I've been told Phase 1 was wildly popular among economic illiterates.

Giving up half your retirement benefits is such a small price to pay to turbocharge the economy for the top 1%. Some of the benefits might even trickle down. Stranger things have happened, but no promises.
