CJ, why not just raise the minimum wage to $50/hour?

Now everyone makes over $100K/year. Think about how much "living" people can do on a wage like that. Think about how local businesses are going to enjoy the boost in revenues thanks to all of these new customers who now make six figures. Think about how much the gap between rich and poor will shrink.

No need to point out how this is a "slippery slope" fallacy, because the very definition of a "living wage" is a slippery slope.

As for Seattle, it's all too easy to just close up shop and reopen in nearby towns like Tacoma, Federal Way, or Edmonds. Come to think of it, I don't remember eating at a Korean restaurant in Seattle itself. No mom-n-pop can afford the labor costs unless they hire illegal immigrants.
