UPDATE - PROGRESS REPORT

Rehabilitation of the decline on the North Fork Mine, which will give
access to the three levels of underground workings, is progressing
satisfactorily. The tunnel has been opened and timbered. The miners, under
the supervision of Michael J. Skopos, P.Geologist, are making steady progress
since they have not encountered any major problems.
The objective is to physically examine, and sample, the high grade gold
chutes which have been reported on three levels in the historical data base.
Once this has been accomplished, a diamond drilling program will determine the
extent of these gold bearing zones. Since large sections of the property have
not yet been explored, other targets will be determined and explored by
diamond drilling from underground, thus eliminating the necessity of drilling
through an extensive lava cap which covers this region.

Sunrise Claims -- Metallurgical tests have been conducted on three 500
gram composite samples from the Tintic Mine. The flotation test results
received from Mountain States RND International Inc., indicate a high level of
recovery. Consequently, Chandeleur Bay intends to proceed with the processing
of a large bulk sample, (5-10,000 tons), as soon as permits are received.
