This meme has become very popular. I've heard it three times on TV/radio:

Greg Hardy sought a jury trial "as is his right in North Carolina".

as is his right

While this is technically correct, I find the phrasing offensive. I don't like the insinuation that jury trials are a quirk of a few backwards states that won't get with the times. Jury trials are a central feature of the U.S. Constitution.
