Palestine is a nation for precisely the reason Israel is a nation. In 1947 the UN divided a British Protectorate into 2 countries, Palestine and Israel. With recognized borders and everything.

Israel has not only acted out of self-defense, either. As government records released in the late 1970s has documented, things were a lot murkier than the existing, and self-admitted, propaganda that has been used to justify the actions of Israel. The violence preceded the Partition. There were skirmishes between the proto-Israelis and the proto-Palestinians. The biggest difference is that the proto-Israelis were better organized and equipped. Whereas the proto-Palestinians might slaughter some people on a bus, the proto-Israelis wiped out entire villages. There was violence on both sides and the Israelis, as the victors, whitewashed history. As victors are prone to do.

Like the story that, during 1948, the Palestinians voluntarily left their property to wait for the Israelis to be wiped out by the other Arabs. According to Israeli government records, that is a total fabrication. They were expelled by force of arms, and not by Arabs.

Like the last time we had this discussion, these things are recognized inside of Israel. Now there are those who discount it, like you seem to be doing. But those are the facts as documented by materials from the Israeli government itself. Likewise, it was documented that members of the Israeli government deliberately constructed the narrative that you seem to accept as factual, to cloud the role of Israelis during the early days and blame solely the Palestinians for what happened to them.

It seems to me that the only nutjob here is the one who prizes propaganda over what actually happened. Again, this is accepted inside of Israel. Not that the Palestinians were or are angels. They were not. But neither were they some comic book villain, bent on the destruction of the peace-loving Israelis who with a great deal of reluctance and a heavy heart walked the road of genocide.

Uh, that would be you.
