GISS shows 0.8 degrees total between 1880 and 2014, not 1980.

If you are right (Now GISS shows 0.8C warming from 1890 to 1980), then there would have been no warming since 1980. However, we've warmed 0.4 degrees since then. The good news is that we haven't warmed since 2014.
