I don't want you thrown in jail, Rat, even if you do heat your shack with old growth redwood. Not to worry; I don't often heat the house, but, when I do, I burn oak and madrone, from deadfalls. Boy, has it been a hot winter. Think I've only made 5 or 6 fires. Only EPA certified devices, or pellet stoves, can be installed in single or two family dwellings in areas that are not part of a major subdivision created after 5/5/07.
