You note that insider selling is likely to subdue any runup, right? If sales growth beats expectations, would a true believer really sell? Doesn't the surprise tell you that the future is brighter than anticipated? It would be a "surprise" to the casual investors. I'm sure AMZN folks have been waiting for this moment all along. Would the insiders be telling us "that's the last surprise"? Nope. Insiders would be telling us that at $80 per share AMZN is fully valued to the year 2005, and thus they rather sell.
