And can I add that if the persistent header is just flat out one of those non-negotiable, accept-it-or-go-find-some-other-message-board features, can they at least have the dignity to make it an opaque header so it doesn't have that "it's-the-mid-90's-and-we're-still-learning-how-to-web" look?

I mean seriously, who looks at this and says, "this is how I want my website to look"?
