IMHO, the problem is not Oracle...but the database market in general. How many NEW mainframe shops are opening up these days? Not a whole lot. The current I.S. shops ALL have some sort of database in place already. Specifically...Informix, Sybase, etc. Bascially, I
beleive the database market is already saturated and will remain that way until customers see a need to pay for major new features.

Just ask yourself....how many more color television sets do I need to purchase for my house? Most consumers would reply....I'll wait for the new video graphics capabilities to improve before I purchase that wide screen unit. Same with a database. If it works....no need to spend additional capital unless there is an earth shattering need.

Best of Luck to all - I'm staying away from Oracle for now.
