I'm open to the idea that Gradium has a use in mux/de-mux applications, especially for cost sensitive areas like LAN and the access loop where performance can be traded for cost.

I do think that the word "revolutionize" is too strong. It's still a bit early to see how this market will shake out. But if you grade the existing technologies on a scale from simple to complex you will find Gradium near the bottom. It's hard for me to see how such a simple idea will solve the complex problems that exist.

For example, what we are seeing now in the WDM world is a frantic push to increase the channel count causing the complexity to skyrocket. This is catching many by surprise. What if the same happens in the local area nets? Gradium would lose some advantage I think.

But no one can predict these things. Breakthroughs happen all the time and take the business off in a whole new direction. As you can see, I still watch for your posts in case something new starts to develop. Thanks again.
