Being able to turn it off helps a lot. Far to often I'll be reading one internet site and suddenly another site will start playing a video and with multiple windows it's not always easy to find where it's coming from. Half the time I just end the browser session entirely and restart it. We have too many bells and whistles today. For example, people pay very little attention to car alarms anymore.
