Except that toggling the alerts on or off appears to be cookie based so you have to do it on any device you use. I'm not keen on cookies on my phone. If you regularly clean up cookies you have to take action if you don't want the noise. I don't mind the noise but I think it should be in the settings (in the database) instead of cookies. Some people only allow in memory cookies that expire with your session (when you close the browser). These people have to reset the cookie every time they open their browser and visit the site.
