WiLAN leadership Performance ---- Judgment :::: EPIC FAIL :::: bigcharts.marketwatch.com

The company management and bod should be judged by comparing their track record against their outlook.

We have witnessed:

1) acquisition of Trivision for $500M and return of only a fraction of that amount and essentially a writeoff of that investment (though they won't admit as much)

2) losses to LG in court based on contract law for what should have been a slam dunk

3) repeated losses to Apple in court based on key (and other) patents where jury wanted to give them the win but their legal incompetents kept tripping over themselves and they were well portrayed/perceived as a patent troll

4) continual resetting of financial expectations downward

5) constant resetting of stock options for lower and lower prices with no accountability for results

6) a number of contracts like Ericsson seem to have gone off the rails (including undisclosed disagreements)

7) numerous signed agreements which add very little to the bottom line, as witnessed by the collapsing book of business

8) growing head count and personnel costs with no evidence of any value add

9) retention of far too much cash which acts like job security though it is portrayed as a bully stick

10) etc. (you get the point by now)

It will be interesting to see what they try to slip into the circular and how they'll reward themselves for failure this year.

Reviewing the evidence the only score possible for the current team at WiLAN is EPIC FAIL!!!!

It's well past the time to shut this operation down and liquidate remaining assets before those are also depleted ....
