Irenaeus lived in France. Nag Hammadi is a site where 13 gnostic texts in Coptic sealed in an earthern jar and discovered in southern Egypt. I doubt Irenaeus spoke Coptic or knew anything about those particular 13 texts.

Irenaeus recognized the four original gospels, quoted from most of the other books of the NT, thus providing evidence for the early recognition of the NT we have today. As for Nag Hammadi, he did preach and write against Gnosticism. You interpret this as hating, being a hater yourself.
