You don't understand what the law actually is. You're commenting on what you THINK it is or what you THINK it should be.

I can refuse service to someone who is gay and there isn't a damned thing to do be done about it unless I happen to be in a state or locality that has its own laws on the subject. Not saying I would ever do that, or that any business should or shouldn't. Simply talking about what the law is.

And what it should be. There is no reason I can think of that homosexuals should be a protected class of people in this respect. It isn't like the Civil Rights law and blacks, where it is commonplace that the class cannot be treated reasonably. Even today, if a black person isn't served in one place, they'll certainly be next door, so technically there is no reason for that law to still be on the books.

Gays have undertaken a protracted war for equality and they have won it. If they wanted to make the case 30 years ago, or even 15, maybe. But today, no one, anywhere, gives a shit. Hell, I haven't seen a gay bar outside of New Orleans in years. Because NO ONE GIVES A SHIT.
