Yes, the plant is running and as far as I know, they are feeding liquid's. I have not been up since early October but am looking forward to returning for a look at the finished product. The hogs have been moving through, at a profit, for app. four months on purchased dry feed. Now with the higher quality liquid feed they will be finishing better quality animals quicker wile virtually eliminating 70 % of there costs ( purchased feed).
You mentioned 11 months to complete the plant. That is pretty accurate, however the Amherstburg facility includes much more than will be needed at future sites. This site is a fully operational ROP hog farm and also a training center complete with living quarters and computerized class rooms to aid in training future owner operators of franchised sites. Additionally, they have installed tanks and other equipment to house their environmental supplies giving them a central Canadian base of operations for their remediation work.
As I have stated in earlier posts, I am impressed with this company"s first steps in the ROP business and their careful planing in establishing not only a very profitable plant but a fine facility in which to launch many, many more sites.
