I am not sure if I understand what you are attempting to imply. Investment is a systematic process. I work hard for my money. In addition to my main job in Silicon Valley I also do software consulting in the side with various other firms. Every month we (that is my wife and I) put 65-70% of our earnings into various investments (all of which are high tech stocks - with each stock getting a certain percentage of our money). LSI is currently our number 2 portfolio holding. I have been buying and adding LSI since 95 and will continue to do so. Just because during a period I dont buy LSI (such as now which I am uncertain as the direction of the price in a very immediate short term) does not mean I have to leave that money sitting there doing nothing for me. The way I think about this is that as long as I am still under 40 (I am 36 now) and my wife and I are both working we may as well work and invest as much as we can to hopefully retire by the time I am 38-40!! And especially since there is going to be 3 of us now (my wife just informed me a few days ago that she is pregnant) I would rather spend more time with my kid than at work, so my style is perhaps a bit aggressive, but by nature I am a very optimistic person and never think of negative aspects of life in general!
