Gus, Rethinking what I said about Haggerty's comments I realize I was a bit too glib. While I still think that the conversion to a JIT/Custom Build model will put pressure on drive maker inventory management it does make a big diff to W-D as to whose hand he is holding. Issues of visibility, sales deployment, collections, etc. come to mind. I think its a big deal. For example, we have Quantum saying they are going to concentrate on large OEM business. But is that business going to be the same. Seems to me there is a wind of change blowing that may cause the drive makers to change the way they do business just when they need all the help they can get. I would really like to hear other thoughts on this subject.
Best,
Stitch
