Clearly UConn was the better team, but Notre Dame really played great defense and shut out UConn inside. UConn was up by eight at the half and won by only ten. Geno now is 10-0 in championship games-- in his 20 years of coaching at UConn. That's crazy. He's not afraid to admit he gets the best players, but as the women hang around for four years, predicting which high school kids will be the best that far out is still a great accomplishment as kids develop at wildly different rates. And while UConn itself is a city in an of itself, it's in the middle of nowhere. Literally a cow-town outside the campus.
