That's certainly the impression TX gives the rest of the world. That residents pay virtually no taxes.

And besides, the southern rednecks don't educate their kids and the criminal justice system is run by lynch mobs. Roads are gravel everyone has trucks so they don't need maintenance

Given the amount of taxes southern states collect, the above would not surprise. In fact, I've been to all the southern states. You all need to be collecting more taxes. Just a suggestion. ;)
