| | | Locogringo, I've noticed how some of the libtards here in California are fighting back against the water restrictions. They have pointed their collective finger at almond farmers, whom they claim uses 10% of California's water supply.
The trouble is that agriculture, which uses 80% of California's water supply, is the backbone of this state's economy. And already they're being told to cut back more than their "fair share" of water usage.
Meanwhile, it's unlikely that you'll see more than just token attempts to conserve water here in the urban and suburban areas. A local park in Cupertino, for instance, used to have a pond with a running fountain, but that pond has been emptied for over a year now. Meanwhile, in Redwood City, the Oracle headquarters is right next to a man-made lake, and that lake is still full. (Not sure it can be emptied, however, since the water level seems to be the same as that of the SF Bay itself.)
It's gonna be some interesting times here in the Golden State.
