Nancy, I sold Jan 25 calls on AMAT today after getting a sell signal on the futures
Also sold the LU Jan 75 calls and bought the LU puts -- several months out. I will look to close out the AMAT and LU calls for about half the price that I sold them for--this will, in effect finance most of the cost of my puts in AMAT and part of the cost of the LU puts. Should have sold calls on CPQ yesterday.
Now looking at NKE, AET, UNH, CXC, SUNW, NXTL, WDC, QNTM, GHV and QCOM--to structure initial entry. Also checking out APM. Will need to wait on PHYC.
Great opportunities to own quality stocks -- at reasonable valuations. With proper protection and a long enough time frame, this approach will pay-off in spades--I am sure of it and that is the way that I am playing it.
Like I told OJ--buy when no one wants to own them and sell when everyone says to own them.
